The Company Store

** Please Read the Following **

Great lengths have been gone to so that the best product could be brought to the customer.  Sadly I don't believe that can be done any more.  The increasingly high cost of casting by American casters can not compete against foreign casting houses and those that use them.  The Company Store was one of the first to bring quality cast LMS, Little Metal Shit, to market in 1990.  Throughout this whole time I have made next to no profit on most small pieces to bring the populous a quality product they would/could pay for.  I had hoped that the lack of profit that the small pieces made would be made up for by the larger more expensive pieces.  This also has not really happened.  My latest casting run has cost me more to cast the pieces then the market will bare as a sales price not even counting the time to make the waxes and to clean up the piece.  So I am left with the only choice left. To sell out of most of my stock.  As items sell out they will not be recast.  There will be only a rare few items I will continue to sell.  Like the favorite vervelle and the stamped flower plate.  I may add more types of stamped pieces for belt mounts to the collection to replace cast items. The spurs will be the main item left and as the store gets closed all business will move to the medievalspurs web site, a section will be setup for LMS and cast armour accessories.  If you have been coming to this site for awhile you will probably notice that the prices will be raised, I have to do this to recover the cash lost on the latest casting.

On the plus side their is more competition for  LMS today then ever.  Some are providing very nice pieces at comparable prices.  To these I say good luck and keep up the good work.

The quality of items has seen an astounding improvement over the last 10 years.  There are more and better medieval living history people out then ever before.  I am proud to have helped in what ever ways I have over the years, from providing a variety of items at a high quality that has keep the bar high for other to match and exceed, to the passing on of the knowledge that I have gained doing this.
